My name is dj enver. When I dj and all my gigs I play lots of ballroom. It takes me back to a time when my mum and granny and my brother aqil and I used to ballroom. May ballroom music live on.
Rest in peace Dees Sharma. Thanks for providing entertainment all these years, being a leader of Dukes Combo, Durban legendary band. You have now joined musically accompanying the heavenly chorus.
Back in the mid 70's, my dance partner and I won a whopping R1000 dancing the Cha-Cha to this Duke's track at the then West Sun Hotel in Chatsworth Durban. Brings back lovely memories of my youth at popular 70's clubs such as Island, Railways, Sols, Pelican and Green Cat which featured great Durban bands.
It's good to see one of Durban's finest dance bands strut their stuff. Hey Dees keep blowing that horn. From Sonny Pillay - Ex Saxophonist from the Kreme (USA California) GOD BLESS.
Outstanding music will never die.
